 Hello everyone ! Today we switched locations. I was actually kind of sad because I really liked the laboratory! When I arrived at the hospital, none of my friends were there so I waited for them, because if I went to change the locations by myself I think it would be weird. First, Zompa came then Lhamo. We waited for Zomkar to come and she did, we then went to go look for the head nurse but she wasn’t there. We waited and waited but she didn’t come, so we asked some of the nurses in the department and they told us that the head nurse will be here around the afternoon! Then a nurse came and she first asked us what we had learnt in this week, Zompa first explained then I did : I said, I learnt mostly computer stuff and also how to collect blood samples and check blood sugar. Hello you all!  Todays another day of my Programme! Im working at the laboratory, for those who are new, and is the second day! Today I arrived at the hospital and the laboratory was already open. I walked it to check if cho Thupten was there but he wasn't. So I waited for him by going through some of the patient lists checking is there’s any patients but there weren’t any. After 10 minutes he came. He apologized for being late, he then arranged the blood samples and handed me one. He told me to check the blood count and type down the count.  I tested the blood and typed down the blood count. I did 4 patients and then had a tea break. I then helped him collect blood from the patients and I went back to typing the blood count!. Well,today wasn't much of a busy day. Not lots of patients came by to test.!

 Today is another day!  When I arrived there the doctor was cho thopten was already there. He was testing some samples of urine. I walked in and greeted him. He said hello back. Then he taught me how to use the computer and calculate the blood count.  I was fascinated. I got the hang of the calculating and things easily and fast. As patients came and left, I got my work done if a jiffy! I actually enjoyed working with the computer and the environment just felt comfortable and enjoyable! I think I’m really enjoying the laboratory! Here’s me going through the computer for some patient lists!  Hello everyone! Today is a a new day! I arrived at the hospital as usual and waited for the guy, I found out his name : Sonam thopten. When he arrived, he showed me how to make lists in the computer ; how to get patients from lists                   ;how to print the information  Then as I was learning a patient came in the lab and asked for a urine examination and blood test. The doctor took his blood and asked me to write his name down. Then I took his blood and did a blood sample and did my work ; using the machine to calculate the blood test. At first it was weird to touch a warm liquid that wasn’t consumable. A weird feeling to touch other people blood even if it’s in the test tube.   But as I worked with it, I’ve already gotten used to it! But after that patient, not a lot came by, and most of them , I didn’t know how to test. As I waited for a patient time passed by and had to leave. I said bye and left. That’s all for ...

 Hello everyone! Today, we’re doing something new! I work at the laboratory department! But first let’s talk of how we arranged our location. First the head acha, or nurse, I’m not sure ;asks us what department we want to work in : Zomkar says pharmacy because she visited a couple of days before and enjoyed it there Zompa says she wants to go to physiotherapy.  I decided to go to laboratory because I feel like it would be interesting. Here’s what the laboratory looks like : I actually loved the place, it was nice. And I love the cold, making the A/C the best thing. Then a lady walked into the room, bringing a patient. She showed me how to test the blood sugar ; top to bottom!  I, then, sat down and wrote all of the instructions down.  Hi yall! Today the last day of my initiative program at the pharmacy department!  I arrived there a bit earlier to talk to the pharmacist more but she wasn’t there, so I waited for her until; 9:29 am. When she arrived, I greeted her and we both went into the pharmacy. Today, not a lot of people came. I talked to acha choeku a lot and we talked about eachother, and etc.. Then we got bored so I decided to take a photo with her for fun and to keep a memory!: Then a patient came and they asked for a needle, syringe. I grabbed it and I gave it to them. I crossed the receipt off. After that patient no one came. And it was 11am already.  I said bye to her and left. That’s all for today

 Hello everyone!  Today is a beautiful Tuesday! I walked into the laboratory and saw cho thopten talking to two ladies who seem to be wearing a nurses outfit. I skoot past them as I sit down on the metal stool twirling myself around. Then cho thopten called me and gave me a blood sample and asked me to test it. I accepted the task and went to go test it and type the blood test down. Then i waited for another task, then cho cho told me he had to go somewhere and told me to wait here. As he left I decided to check out some of the machines. They were big but some were small. I glanced at the blood samples that were collected at the side,I picked them up and looked to check their names.  After, cho thopten came and handed me the test tubes with blood  samples and told me to test them all. I tested them and typed their blood count down. It took long but I managed to finish them before I left That was all for this day, hope yall readers enjoy my blog!!

 Hello readers! Today wasn't very busy, at all. Not much happend as when I arrived to the laboratory cho thopten wasn't there. I waited for 20 minutes until he arrived and apologized because the genzin called him for some work. But after, no one came. I sat on my chair waiting. Cho thopten was checking on the machines. Then a patient came : it was my old classmate wangden!  He came for blood test and urine examination. He was giggling at me, I don't know what he found funny about me. Then after he left I collected his blood sample. Actually, it was weird to touch my friends blood. I giggles for some reason. What's wrong with me. So then I tested his blood and examined it. I wrote down the blood count on the computer. That's it for today thank you all for reading!

Hello everyone!  Today's another day of my initiative Programme! I rode my bike to the hospital and ran inside because was in a good mood. I said hello to cho thopten. Today was busy, because as I walked in I was immediately assigned a task. I was told to type down the liver function tests results , then urine examination then blood count tests. After I did all those, cho thopten gave me a bunch of test tubes filled wuth blood samples and told me to test them and  type down their blood count. It took me an hour to finish. As I finished I had a tea break and chilled, when the crowd started to decrease, for 10 minutes. Then after, I was assigned to give some test papers to the patients, I called their names loudly their name as they came to get the papers.  That was all for today!

 Hello everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile, my phone broke and it took my a long time to recover it. The damage was brutal. 😭  Anyways I’ll continue posting from today onwards!!

 Hello everyone! Today is day 2 of my initiative programme! Like any day, I arrive at the hospital at 9 am and greet the pharmacist. As soon as I walked into the room, a patient came and she asked for some medicine. Achi choeku looked at the receipt and pointed to a medicine, she asked me to grab a full tablet of a specific medicine and I did.  Then she gave the person the medicines and also asked me to grab a plaster called corn cap from the a shelf because these were prescribed by the doctor.  Then I cut the receipt and dropped it into the box.  After the first person, nobody came for awhile so I decided to check out some of the medicines and stuff. Then I got bored and asked the pharmacist about her aim as a child. She told me about how she’s not comfortable around wounds and blood but she wanted to study in a scienc stream job so she chose pharmacist, that aim never changed.  Hi! Today’s the first day of my initiative work!! What I did today is: I arrived at toten hospital at 9am. Actually, yesterday we had a mixup with the timing. Usually our school houses call us to practice dance during the morning. So we 4 decided to choose afternoon timing, but unfortunately for us our house teachers chose afternoon timing. Our house, Gawa were choosing 2:05 to 3:30pm. So we, last minute, chose 9 am to 11am. So today i arrived at the hospital and i waited for the others, and they arrived round 9:04. Then at the counter, the manager led us to a lady who gave us four locations to choose from : laboratory, dental, physiotherapy and pharmacy. First Zompa chose laboratory, then I chose pharmacy because I had many questions on how they work and lots more. Zomkar chose dental. Then Lhamo chose physiotherapy.  Hello everyone! My name is pema Lhaze Samdup. I study in STS Bylakuppe’s class 8. I was born on the 2nd of October, 2011.  Every year we have a summer holiday for 50 days, in which we are given a task to initiate a programme in an institution or an association. Last year I chose Trisong library at camp 1st, I enjoyed it there as I’m very happy with books and crafts. I learned lots of skills and have earned new friends.  This year, im choosing something new. I’m choosing camp 2’s to toeten hospital. I chose it as I felt like I would enjoy the hospital as I’ve never tried going there last year. Me and my group ( Me, Lhamo, Zomkar and Zompa ) started working today.  From now on, for 30 days, I will update you all about what and how I’ve been doing in the hospital. My friends and I, have different blogs. This is my blog. I hope you all enjoy my experiences and try initiating a programme or work yourself!
